Client Name: DRPG

Location: Hartlebury, Worcestershire

Sector: Commercial / Industrial

Overview

DRPG, a global, award-winning creative agency, based in Hartlebury, commissioned Maple Aion as the main design and build contractor to construct a state-of-art Head Office and Warehouse facility at their site at on Ikon Estate.

In line with their growth strategy, DRPG required a creative space that both their team and clients could utilise which enhanced the experience of the brand. The environment needed to inspire the people who are using it.

We worked closely with the team throughout the pre-construction phase to bring their ideas to life into a practical design that exceeded expectations whilst delivering a facility fit for the future.

Project Delivery

Phase one of this project was to deliver the Head Office building which commenced with groundwork, installing infrastructure including road construction, drainage systems, and utility installations, laying the foundation for the construction phase, which focused on erecting a steel frame building.

Maple Aion’s expertise in cladding design and specification transformed the building’s image, enhancing its visual appeal and architectural significance, creating an impactful first impression – essential for leading creative organisation.

The Head Office building included a roof terrace, featuring a specialised slab design, offered a unique space to hold events and for employees to use.

The first element of the project saw us deliver the interior fit-out of the building to create offices, meeting rooms and catering facilities as well as toilets, flooring, stairs and accessibility. We partnered with our trusted sub-contractors for mechanical, electrical and plumbing aspects of the project, working diligently to the agreed project plan and timeline.

The project was delivered over a two year period, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, requiring stringent health and safety protocols, logistical adaptations, and meticulous planning. Despite these obstacles, the project was delivered on time and within budget, underscoring the resilience and determination of the project team and our contractors.

During this period, we also delivered additional warehouse space spanning 12,000 sq. ft for studio space, shooting and storage. Additional steelwork was built into into the design to provide additional structural support to accommodate the bespoke lifting equipment used in the warehouse space.
